Luísa’s work revolves around understanding how bacteria anticipate and predict the seasons. Furthermore, she uses the fast generation times of cyanobacteria to predict how photoperiodic species might adapt to climate change.

Hannah’s research focuses on circadian rhythms in wild and crop plants, particularly how they vary in nature and how rhythms can be leveraged to improve habitat restoration and agricultural potential.
